First Aid: Bleeding Tail

Symptoms

Blood dripping from, or dampening tail fur.

First Aid

DO NOT REMOVE FUR FROM WOUND -IT AIDS CLOTTING. Clean wound with anticeptic cleaner or water. Apply antibiotic ointment. Apply Bandage (not to tight - as it may restrict blood flow). If possibe use a splint such as a piece of plastic pipe or large syringe case.

Notes

Causes: Accidental, Barbed wire fencing, excessive wagging against fencing.
